Contextual Teaching Learning
CTL is
a concept of learning where teachers bring real-world situations into the
classroom and encourage students to make connections between the knowledge he
has with the application in their lives as members of families and communities.
With this concept, the
learning outcomes expected to be more meaningful for students. The learning
process takes place more naturally in the form of student activities and work
experience, not a transfer of knowledge from teacher to student.

Some instructional strategies need to be

a. Problem-based learning
By
bringing up the problems faced together, students are challenged to think
critically to solve.
b. Using a variety of contexts
In the context of CTL brindle teachers explain
that meaning be obtained qualified students.
c. Considering the diversity of students

and social differences should be interpreted to become an engine for learning mutual
respect and tolerance to achieve interpersonal skills.
d. Empower students to learn on their own

e. Learning through collaboration

f. Using authentic research
Authentic assessment indicates that learning

5. Integrated learning.
6. Using a variety of sources.
7. Active students.
8. Sharing with friends.
9. Students critically creative teachers.
10. Walls and hallways filled with student work, maps, pictures, articles,
humor and others.
11. Report to parents is not just a report card but the students' work,
practicum report, written by students and others.
Assignment of teachers in CTL
The task of the teacher is to help students
achieve their goals. More teachers
to deal with strategy rather than giving information. The task of managing a
classroom teacher as a team working together to find something new for class
members (students). Something new hot comes from finding yourself instead of
what the teacher said.
