The Silent Way is a language-teaching method created by Caleb Gattegno that makes
extensive use of silence as a teaching technique. The Silent Way is the pedagogical approach created by Caleb Gattegno for teaching
foreign languages; the objective is for students to work as autonomous language
learners.
